Pike's elaborate subplots, the reason to keep Sita alive are too long winded, too hard to follow & quiet frankly, boring. An author that has ran out of new ideas that had to literally rewrite history & change the main characters personality to that as someone devoid of character to keep a franchise alive. Used to be Pike obsessed but now could care less what happens, given he made a massive point in another book to hint at ghost writers wonder were they come into play.

I read the original Last Vampire series when I was in middle school so it was amazing coming back and basically getting a whole new trilogy of books. Christopher Pike has the uncanny ability to enter the minds of some of his readers because he knows exactly what buttons to push. I'm not joking the other hardcore CP fans out there know just what I'm talking about. I loved the ending in my opinion he could not have ended it better. With CP you either get it or you don't. End of story.

I don't suspect that many YA books will make people want to read up on WWII history and pickup the Mahabharata on the way AND read the New Testament just for good measure, but that's exactly what I plan to do next. Pike has a wonderful gift of fictionalizing history and infuse it with spirituality. If you're uninitiated to all things Christopher Pike, you will likely be pleassantky surprised or turned off. I have an open mind and I happen to truly enjoy these juxtapositions, even the liberty he takes with h

About the author

Christopher Pike is a bestselling young adult novelist and has published several adult books as well—Sati and The Season of Passage being the most popular. In YA, his Last Vampire series—often called Thirst—is a big favorite among his fans. Pike was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Los Angeles. He lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his longtime partner, Abir. Currently, several of Pike’s books are being turned into films, including The Midnight Club, which Netflix released as part of a ten-part series. The Midnight Club also draws from a half dozen of Pike’s earlier works. Presently, The Season of Passage is being adapted as a feature film by Universal Studios while Chain Letter—one of Pike all-time bestselling books—is also being adapted by Hollywood. At the moment, Pike is hard at work on a new YA series.
