My son is 27 years old now, but when he was in middle school he volunteered to read this and do a book report. He's never been big on reading and could never really get into it. So I decided to read it for him and give him all he needed to write a report lol yes I know! Bad Mommy! The result is that I fell deep in love with these books. I don't know how many times I've read them and just found Murtagh! So of course I have to reread the entire series before I read the new book.

An amazing read. I've never been big on reading, but this book really caught my attention from the start. I enjoyed it so much, that after I finished reading it the first time, I immediately turned it back to the beginning and started reading it again. After I read it a second time, three days later I read it again in one sitting.

Magic has never been done better. The limitations are perfect and it never gets old how the characters find ways around problems. I loved the relationship between dragon and rider.
