it didn't need both plots. I get that the one was running from the other books, but it could have focused more on the plot that brought the couple together.

Love this book! It's the best in the series. The characters and their personalities were the same, but she cut back on some of the sexual sadism that the previous novels had. I much prefer the way she brought in his past but didn't fetishize it. Ambrie was a great heroine who joined the group and didn't let them put her on a pedestal!

Soooo worth the wait. Love that Kir has got his fairytale princess Ambrie and that she's so protective of him. Then we see a new level of Blythe being so bad a** to the max, with so much poise, grace and a smile. Then my heart melted again when Ambrie's fierce need to keep those she loved safe and protected extended to include all those of the Torpedo Ink family.
