I...literally could not finish the novel after page 120. I had hoped that by the time I reached the climax, the plot would have advanced. But it still continued this annoying cycle of petty arguing and jumping back to Square One . This novel has SOOOO much potential with the introduction of Carpathian clan new to the world of fantasy. Sadly, it was killed with the constant dominant Male controlling everything forever arguing with the freedom fighting stubborn semi-feminist mortal female. Had there would have been more of tactile plot, not waiting until 3/4 of the way of the book for sexual contact, and the bland minor characters this novel could have sparked some firecrackers. From start to center, I gave up at certain points to ease away from the hopeful anticipation that I expected, and now...I'm just sorely disappointed. I'm not harping on you for your ideas, but in regards to the novel itself, I think having an editor will aid you in your upcoming novels. Keep going strong!

I really liked this story that was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting. I was surprised by the twist with the hero when he meets the heroine for the first time. *****Blurb Alexandria Houton would sacrifice anything - ever her life - to protect her orphaned little brother. Or sacrifice more than her life? ***** I was super impressed with Josh and his bravery being such a little guy. Aidan had to make up for how he met Alexandria while trying to get her to fall for him was new. Alexandria was brave sometimes and other times she was so upset about what happened to her and I could totally put myself in her shoes. There is a lot of action but also a lot of romance. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book. Or listening to it because I found that enjoyable as well!

the ritual of him claiming alex went on and on. I found myself skipping several pages to get though it. not my favorite of the series.
