I'm only on page 7 and i give up. The writing is terrible. The dialogue is preposterous. The name Cheryl is a female name but it reads as if a man is writing as a female. It's not real. I want my money back and it's only $1.99. That's how bad this i.

This is the 4th book in this series and they just keep getting better. Gigi has left the police department, with Blackwell as the new chief I don't blame her, and has decided to be a private eye. She is hired by the sister of Pippa Holliday to look into her murder. She barely gets started before her client is murdered. I really enjoyed this mystery and the direction Gigi is taking her life. Looking forward to more in this series.

The story starts slow but takes off quickly and doesn't stop until the very end. The sad case of a young starlet being murdered quickly becomes more complicated for GiGi as more murders happen. She discovers the murders's mimic, a serial killer who was put away by her father. The serial killer plays games with GiGi by giving her clues to the new killer. She finds help from her friends Hunter and Simone and holds her own against the new police chief, who is quite the jerk. Once you start reading, it's hard to walk away from finding out who the murderer is.
