5 star Review Burn (Men of Inked: Heatwave #2) by Chelle Bliss Before you read Burn, you need to have read Flame as this is the continuation of Gigi Gallo and Pike Moore’s story. I have always loved Gigi’s character and have enjoyed watching her grow into a feisty, smart, independent young woman. This was a fast paced, hot, passionate, steamy story full of surprising twists and turns which will keep you on the edge of your seat. It was everything I was hoping it would be and so much more. Ms. Bliss wrote a story that had me riveted from the first page until the last. There was humour, suspense, drama, angst and so much chemistry between Gigi and Pike that one was in danger of being burnt. I have always loved the dynamics of the Gallo family, their stories are full of love of family and what they will do for each other and those they love. Although this series is about the next generation of Gallo’s , be assured the original sill a force to be reckoned with. I loved that in Pike, Gigi has found a man just as stubborn, loyal , passionate and independent as she is. These two are perfect for one another and I am beyond thrilled that they fought so hard to be together. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

4 Stars Review by Leah Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Burn is the continuation of Flame which I LOVED. I just did not get the same feeling in this one as I did with Flame. The banter is still here and the strong characters but there something was missing and I cannot put my finger on it. In Burn we do get to dive into the back story of Pike. And now Chelle Bliss has me wondering who the heck Colton Moore is. So many scenarios going through my head. She just has a way of hooking me in every time. The Gallos are amazing, please don’t get me wrong and think something happened to this series. They are my absolute favorite family. I will always relate the name Gallo to the Men of Inked series. I giggle every time I watch Chicago Fire now that they have a “Gallo” firefighter. Heck, if I had another kid it would more than likely be named after one of them, LOL! This one just felt more relaxed, laid back and more lifelike. Not saying that is a bad thing I just expected a little more excitement after the last book. If you have never heard of the Gallos pick up book one and dive right in. You will not be disappointed.

This is the conclusion of Pike and Gigi's story and it was everything I'd hoped it would be. Be prepared for boatloads of drama, twists and deep emotions as the story unfolds. I think what really makes these books so special is the epic bonds of family and friendship that wrap around and support the romance that takes center stage in each book. Whether we are lucky enough to have that kind of support system in our own lives or we wish we did, it takes an already amazing, swoon worthy romance and makes it even better by adding plenty of heartfelt to it.
