About this ebook

In this delightful work from the author of Great Expectations, a landlady in Victorian London recounts tales of her colorful lodgers. Welcome to 84 Norfolk Street, where the indefatigable Mrs. Lirriper maintains a modest but respectable rooming house. Keeping the place ship shape and staying abreast of her lodgers’ lives is more than a full-time occupation for the dedicated landlady. And with her keen ear for gossip and her natural knack for a good yarn, Mrs. Lirriper is happy to tell you all about it. From wistful memories of her poor deceased husband to tales of her shameless rival down the street, Mrs. Lirriper is never at a loss for good stories, especially ones concerning the many good souls who share her roof.
