Prairie Storm illustrates beautifully the true nature of God. So many people in modern society believe Him to be distant and angry, but He is not. Instead He is the perfect definition of love. The story of Elijah and Lily was definitely a page turner for me. It spoke about the hope that Jesus brings in the midst of a storm. And how, despite our fallible nature, God can create beauty out of ashes. Catherine Palmer includes pain, anger, bitterness, peace, joy, happiness and humor in her story, through protagonists Elijah and Lily. However, I believe love was the central theme. The story describes a budding romance and the unfailing love of God. I would recommend this novel to anyone interested in learning more about the true nature of love, God's love.
