A very good story. I see the problem in editing, sandy became sally at one time and went back to sandy again. The girl is a bit annoying in her cowardly ways of walking away and quitting when things get rough. Always insisting she could handle her problems when at the very end she needed help and rescue from the very man she rejects time and again. Good thing Eli was strong enough for the both of them.

Eli Wilder and Alexis Lane meet at a wedding and share a dance. When they meet again, the sparks are as bright as ever. But naturally nothing is particularly easy…except for how they feel about each other. Carrie Ann Ryan kicks off her Wilder Brothers series with this emotional story that intertwines not just Eli and Alexis’s lives but their families and friends and the growing success of the Wilder Resort. Pasts and presents collide as they juggle their responsibilities and feelings, their feelings and to-do lists. Ms Ryan writes plenty of heart and heat, as always. Can’t wait for more in the series!

I absolutely adored this story! It was so great getting to see and get to know the brothers better (though not too deep on most of them yet). We get to see Eli and Alexis come together and have another chance. In the prequel, we get to see these two meet and feel that spark and connection for an instant but at the time nothing comes of it and here we get to see them two years later and that spark and connection are still there. Alexis has not had it easy and is having to start over. I loved watching her and Eli build their connection. Things are complicated due to the fact that they both live and work in the same location but thanks to their clear chains of command, Eli is not her boss. There are some twists and turns in this story but more to deal with internally with these two. They need to overcome their hesitations and expectations of where they were at and headed. This was a great story and a great start to this new series! Can't wait for more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
