Do Not Buy this book if you do not have a traditional family. I think the book itself is well written and has a good story for the age range 2-4 years however I purchased it for my nephew who has a single mum and a couple of pages mention "Daddy". I am quite disappointed as there was no need to have a page that says "Mommy, Daddy, baby, me" and it was not something I was expecting in this day and age where there are plenty of same sex parents and single parents all over the world. The kid you may be buying for could already have an older sibling...I just don't see the need for that page and will now have to return the book as there is no warning of this page when you buy it online.
