I love cozy mysteries and this one from Carly Winter does not disappoint. Sam is the main character and she does not have a lot of luck! (Thank goodness, otherwise we'd have no books to read ;-)) This is a great book in a great series and I would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of the genre.

This is the first of Carly winters book that I have read. I'll have to try some more of her books cause I loved Sam and her friends at sage advice. In this installment Sam and friends are trying to find the evidence they need to clear her of murder. At the festival her pain in the side Mr. Butte drops dead after eating chips with hot sauce and of course Sam is right there. So now her business is in jeopardy her life is in shambles and she needs to find out who did this. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

When the town doctor is poisoned, practically everyone is a suspect. But whodunit? Sam, his rival (in the doc's mind) in helping the wellness of the townsfolk? A disgruntled patient and their spouse? The discarded mistress? Or his own wife and child? They all had a motive (he was unpleasant, a terrible doctor and dad, and a philanderer), some had opportunity, but only one took action. It was fun reading to find out the culprit (I guessed correctly) but the drama doesn't end at the unveiling of the killer. Never saw the twist coming! A wonderful cozy mystery. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
