This book is a life changer. Every page had me in tears, the kind where your shoulders shake from sobbing. On a human level, this book is relatable to both Filipinos and non-Filipinos. It is a true account of what Filipinos have gone through when they migrated years ago, and it reveals that Bulosan's experience is still true for a lot of migrants to this day.
