She clearly didn't research how to operate semi trucks before writing about them. Every other page describing the meals their eating as they're tracking down a serial killer is distracting

Even though it's told in first person narrative, it is almost a recitation of events. We never know the character's feelings. Very dry although the crime is intersting. I tried book two to give it a fair shot but will not continue with this author.

I began reading free books in the Jade Monroe series. They are so good I haven't been able to put them down! I've cried, laughed and waited anxiously for safety to return! Thanks for such a great read. CM Sutter, you are now one of my favourite authors. I'm taking the next 2 books to Lake Superior!
