Poorly written...this is a period piece however the characters are clearly written to reflect today's social views (which obviously reflect the authors social views). It is inconsistent with the Era in which the story supposedly takes place and really has nothing to do with the main plot. These stories started out intriguing but now are starting to drag...I'm finding myself less and less interested in reading more from this author.

Truly disappointed was a slow read, forcing myself through some parts... ending of this book did not make me want to read the next book. Loved previous books but the ending felt shoved in and then a little snippet of nope not yet. Also odd so many basic " couldn't put it down" reviews. Actually reduced review to 3 as reading other reviews reminded me that I it took longer to read this one vs time to read ALL of the previous ones in this series

I have read all five books now and will start with the 6th. I am glued to these characters and C.J's writing. The plot twists are great and the hero's journey archetype of India is amazing.
