I'm a hard to please reader, but this book kept me engaged. It's a well plotted murder mystery with likeable and interesting characters. It was also clearly well researched and I truly felt as though I was reading a setting and set of people from a vintage time.

An easy read. I really enjoyed the character development and small bits of humour through out. I feel as though some mystery surrounded the main characters family that was hinted at but never fully explored. Hopefully answered in book 2.

Interesting plot and strong characters who are awaiting the New Year and whose positions in life give unique perspectives to solving a murder, or getting away with one.
