If you’ve been reading all of the cozy mystery series by C. A. Phipps, this is the crossover you’ve been waiting for! This book is such a fun read and I’ve been waiting for all of these characters to meet since they are all in the same small region and have such similar interests. If you haven’t read all of the series, you will still enjoy this book, but knowing all of those characters ahead of time adds even more excitement and fun to the story. Lyra is hosting a baking competition and several of the contestants have reputations as amateur sleuths, just like Lyra herself. When a dead body is found during the first day of the contest, Lyra must try to contain everyone’s enthusiasm for solving mysteries in order to keep them all safe. Join Maddie from the Maple Lane Mysteries, Scarlett and Alex from the Cozy Café Mysteries, and Jess from Midlife Potions as they compete to win the competition while trying to solve they mystery!

Lyra is hosting a charity baking competition where several bakers are known as amateur sleuths in their hometowns. When a dead body is found nearby on the first day of the competition, the bakers get together to solve the murder. I have been reading several series by Author C.A. Phipps for the last couple of years. This was a fun book to read; it is a crossover book I didn't realize I needed. This was only my second book in this series, but since I have read multiple books in the other series

Who knew that being a celebrity chef could be so dangerous? Of course, having a curious nature might have something to do with that. I will have to say, was not all that obvious who it was, although had an idea. After several mistaken ideas!
