The first book hooked me but the second and third lost me because it didn't seem to know where it was going and too many events happened 'off screen'

I get a real Steven Erikson/Malazan vibe from this series which is more true than ever in this book. I wish it wasn't just a trilogy, I want more!

A coworker suggested this series and after reading the description, I put it off. The concept just didn't appeal to me. I could not be more pleased with the decision to read this series. AWESOME! Pick it up....you won't regret it.
