1st book I read of Brenda Novak. Enjoyed the suspense and the characters. Emma flees her abusive controlling husband with her diabetic 5yr old son. She meets Preston who at first wants nothing to do with her but the decides to help.

Best book I've read in a very long time,Brenda Novakyou are the best I loved Preston Emma and Max, they made the story, so exciting, when I stopped reading for the night I couldn't wait for the next night to start reading again.thank you Brenda for this book.
