Cash never knew his mother. From what his father has told him, she abandoned him and went to live on a Wyoming ranch. Upon her death, Cash inherits the ranch—or most of it. A hundred acres was left to Brianna, the daughter of the late caretakers. When Cash catches sight of Brianna, his determination to sell the ranch fades. He's never felt so drawn to a woman, and the feeling is mutual. They move forward together—until the truth about his mother, and his father's interference, come crashing down on them. Can their relationship survive? As the title suggests, this is a marriage of convenience story, and Cash is a demanding man. Yet he respects and treasures Brianna, never breaking her gentle spirit. She's sweet and caring, a little starry-eyed at his attention. Overall, it's a tender and steamy read—a good choice the next time you go to the beach. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A simple deal turns into romance! Cash wants nothing to do with the mother he feels abandoned him, so it's with great reluctance that he agrees to attend the reading of her will. There he meets Brianna, the only other person mentioned in the will, and he soon finds out that he's missing a few huge pieces of information about his family history. I loved the way Cash knew instinctively what he wanted, and how he was willing to incorporate the advice of his brothers and cousins when deciding what to do about his inheritance. The relationship with Brianna was developed slowly in order to let us in on both of their motivations, and I really enjoyed reading about her dedication to the land and to Ellen's memory. The twist that setup the bargain they struck was nicely done, and I appreciated how that subject was handled respectfully when it could easily have gone the other way. I was hoping for a bit more sophistication in the writing style, but the plot was engaging and I was very satisfied with their HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The Outlaws are giving the Westmorelands some serious competition. Jackson has a gift for dreaming up the best heartbreakers in romance and with Cash that legacy continues. The Marriage He Demands goes from slow burn to give alarm rather quickly. Brianna and Cash are a combustible match and it was hard not to feel the burn.
