About this ebook

To save his friends, Cole must enter a haunting kingdom—without his powers—in this New York Times–bestselling fantasy adventure series.

Since arriving in the magical realm known as the Outskirts, sixth grader Cole Randolph and his friends have fought monsters, challenged knights, and battled rampaging robots. But none of that has prepared them for Necronum.

In this haunting kingdom, it’s hard to tell the living from the dead, and secret pacts carry terrifying risks. Within Necronum lies the echolands, a waystation for the departed where the living seldom venture.

Still separated from his power, Cole must cross to the echolands and rely on his instincts to help rescue his friends. With enemies closing in, Cole risks losing everything to find the one thing that might save them.

Since I finished the Crystal Keepers 2 days after it came out, I have been waiting for this book, and it had me staying up to read it. This book is a great 4th addition to the series and sets readers on edge for what is going to happen next. I'm very disappointed that I finished this book so soon and cannot even think about waiting for the 5th. I highly recommend this to all and also all of Brandon's other books.

I loved this book! It had detailed emotions at the right times and made the story more exciting like you are there and witnessing these events take place. I was hit with some really strong feels when characters from Beyonders were mentioned I was almost brought to tears. Can't wait for the next book though it will make me sad when this series ends, hope Mr.Mull will make a continuation somehow.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It was well written and quite entertaining. It even had some more references from the Bounders series, Helping close that series even more. I love the way it also ties up all the loose ends from the previous books. I would have preferred more romance between some of the main characters. It wasn't the most interesting when it came to the story's problems and their solutions they were quite mediocre. This likely is easier for young readers so they can have an easy time with this book. It helps keep it calm. I would recommend this series to non-readers for a beginning fantasy universe. It is definitely a buy or even a visit to a library to read.
