An 18-year-old female student has been missing 2 weeks with no clues where she is until a raft with candles and her body is found on the lake. Then another female goes missing. When her body is found in a similar manner the chief calls the FBI & May's sister comes. She has a suspect in mind when May gets her from the airport. While she's questioning a suspect another girl goes missing. May & Owen try to find the killer. Loved this book & the ending-WOW! You've got to read this one!

I really like the characters Deputy Sheriff May Moore, Deputy Owen, and Sheriff Jack. They are a strong team. As for May’s sister and parents? I’m so ready for them to have a mirror shown in their direction. Their behavior toward and treatment of May is unbearable. Otherwise, nice series.

Teenagers are disappearing and later on are found dead. May is in charge of the search for the killer until the FBI presence is requested because there are three people already dead and the case is that of a serial killer. As always, May feels undermined by her sister but she works with herself not to let her self-esteem issues have a negative result on the case. With Owen's support, they keep on searching for the culprit, even though there's a strong suspect under questioning. Great story!
