On 3rd read through. full of fascinating adventures and accomplishments in his life. after watching top gear for decades, repeatedly..i still get a kick out of the time he revealed his true self teaching injured troops to drive proper for dakar quali's. honestly, i fully admire his skill and wish i had half his talent. totally recommend this book.

This book was very exciting, it really felt like you were in the car with the Stig. I do have to agree with others though, the ending seems to come too abruptly. The behind the scenes of Top Gear parts were my favorite part of the book.

Great details of how being the stig isn't easy but is fun and how Ben Collins progressed in the world of motor racing. A few spelling mistakes but not enough to ruin the book. So captivating.

About the author

Ben Collins was born in Bristol before moving to California, where he competed as a junior Olympic standard swimmer. When a career as a fighter pilot was cut short by a visit to the optician, Ben switched to cars. He won races in every category from Formula Three to Le Mans Sportscars and GT, and captured the European ASCAR title. When a lack of funding curtailed his racing career, Ben joined the Army Reserves. He also worked as a Hollywood stuntman. In 2003 he became the anonymous fourth presenter, known as The Stig, of Top Gear, coaching celebrities, organising car chases and testing hundreds of priceless cars. Eight years and 13 series on, his alter ego is recognised by millions around the world. Ben loves in the West country with his wife Georgie and 3 children.
