I really enjoyed reading Coming Home by Audrey Wick, book two in The Texas Sisters series. This sweet and wonderful story is about two people who meet by chance. Mallory is stressed and at her wits end after being threatened by one of her college students. She decides to take an unpaid sabbatical while she regains her self-confidence, leaving her home in Santa Fe and spending it with her sister in Texas. After contacting a moving company to assist her she is befriended my one of the owners, Alex. Alex is the only single one at the Four Guys Moving Company and has been feeling lonely. Connecting with Mallory gives him hope and a new lease on life. Despite the distance between them, Alec is hopeful for a relationship with Mallory. When Mallory learns of a connection between Alex and the student who threatened her, she is unable to see Alex any longer, fearful of the consequences. All Mallory has is a hope that she will be offered her position at the college she taught so she can return to Santa Fe and live a life without Alex. Mallory’s younger sister was helpful, offering advice as well as a place to stay while she regrouped. I loved seeing Mallory becoming more self-assured after spending time with Alex. Mallory was everything Alex wanted and he was determined to help Mallory adjust to changes in her life and find her confidence. Alex was so much more than just a “mover”, he was intelligent, compassionate, and caring and the perfect partner for Mallory. The fact that Mallory’s cat liked him, even snuggling with him, showed that he was a good person. I totally loved reading this book and didn’t want to put this book down. Ms. Wick wrote a wonderful story which drew me in, making me forget the world around me and did not let me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other reader. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This is the second book in the Texas Sister series by author Audrey Wick. Mallory Fredrick is a college professor in New Mexico who is being stalked by one of her students because she gave him bad grades. Oh my I can not imagine how bad that would be. When she is forced to take a sabbatical because of said student. Where does she go? Why to stay with her sister, who we met in Finding True North, in Texas. But she has to get there so she rents a moving company where she meets Alec. Alec O’Donnell and his 3 friends started a moving company in college for extra money and now it is their "real job". Alec and Audrey had an instant connect when they met. Chemistry if you wish. BUT here she is moving to Texas from New Mexico and no idea when she will be back. This is one of those books that I really enjoyed reading. It had friendship, romance, mystery and family love.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Mallory loves her job as an English College Professor until one of her students attacks her on social media, she decides to take a sabbatical. She decides to return home to Texas to stay with her sister. She hires a local moving company to help her move. Alec, part owner in the moving company helps Mallory move. But he soon decides this is more than a move, he wants more of Mallory. Now only to talk Mallory in coming back home. An emotional journey of finding herself again. Loved the growth of Mallory throughout the story. Loved how Alec would not give up on Mallory. This is the second book in the series, but can completely be read as a stand alone, but now I want to read the first book in the series.
