It is a very good book, but a lot of details were overlooked. Every few pages I do a double take on what I am reading or look up the explanation somewhere else because some things are inaccurate but I also believe the issues in this book are solidifying my skills because it is sometimes so bad that the mistakes are forcing me to look into what should be correct, essentially learning from the books mistakes

Considering that this is the first book released ~updated RHEL 7 OS, I was skeptical about the potential details it would be provide. However, my concerns abated after reading only the first 3 chapters. Even though it focuses specifically on RHEL, the vast majority of information provided therein, as with other Linux-related material, is applicable and relevant to other distributions. Unfortunately, no DRM-free version exists, resulting in a PAINFUL reading/squinting experience in PlayBooks only!

The book content is great and up to date. I have taken my RHCSA exam based on RHEL7 and passed it from the first attempt. My primary reference for the exam was this book. I am planning to continue with this books to study for the RHCE exam which I plan on taking soon. All in all, good content, exercises, and challenge labs. The reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is that I would have preferred to have the answers for all labs and quizzes in an appendix. Overall, highly recommended!
