This is a fun and a little sad new story in the "States of Love" series. It is a stand alone read that is fairly short and quick. This one is about widower Colt and Sadie. It is a cute story that is slightly over the top and fun to read. Colt loses his wife very unexpected now all her cares about is working on his ranch. Sadie is a city girl who is shocked that her sister left her half of her ranch. Now she and Colt was figure things out. I love the characters and the plot is intriguing.

You might want to keep the tissues handy for this one. It’s not long, but it packs one heck of an emotional punch. I really don’t remember getting this teary over the previous book. It’s just that there’s something in the connection between Sadie and Colt and their memories of Maddie that hit me harder. They’re enemies-to-lovers with a hint of second chance and that just made me fall for them. I can’t wait to see where we go next. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.

Anna and Callie continue their tour in their States of Love Series and keep us waiting for the next adventure. This one has Sadie, still dealing with the death of her sister, Maddie, decides to give up the city life and go to Marigold Meadows, the ranch where Maddie lived with her husband. The ranch is now half hers and grieving Colt doesn't want her there. As time goes by these two find common ground and find out a secret Maddie was keeping.
