this was a strong sixth book in the Dragon Kings of Fire and Ice series, it does a great job in being interesting and what I was hoping it would be. The characters were on point and I'm glad I got to read this. I hope this series continues and can't wait to read more from Amelia Shaw. World building that allows puny humans to feel relief from reality and let's not forget fun exponentially. I enjoyed all six of these short stories because real life has so many complications that these fantasies were calming and joyful. This was a wonderful respite that left me feeling happiness. Thank you, for giving you talent a written voice. The word puny was a joke, I laughed out loud reading these stories and still feel residual joy.

Anslem and Kayla have a sweet romance. This shifter romance is a fated mates romance but that doesn't mean that there isnt a bit of angst in their relationship. This is a wonderful one sitting read. This is one of my favorites of this series.
