My favorite books from my childhood. I still have them. Some of the stories still give me the creeps. But they have to be the ones with Stephen Gammel's artwork, not the new ones. His artwork adds to the creepy factor.

Its my favorite short story collection of all time - still scary decades later lol those pics are terrifying. i love it :)

Grew up reading ALOT and these were definitly some of my favorite books of all time the artwork was awesome the inkblottyness of them really helped create some terrifying imaginings of the stories

Alvin Schwartz is known for a body of work of more than two dozen books of folklore for young readers that explores everything from wordplay and humor to tales and legends of all kinds.
