4.5 stars, His & Hers by Alice Feeny is a brilliantly plotted mystery that is fast-paced and compelling. London news correspondent Anna Andrews reluctantly accepts her latest assignment. Returning to her claustrophobic hometown Blackdown, Anna arrives at the scene of a murder where, despite her unease, she remains collected and professional. Detective Chief Inspector Jack Harper is not at all pleased that Anna pushes boundaries and attempts to charm Detective Priya Patel into providing her with information. Anna wants nothing more than to return to London, but when another murder rocks Blackdown, she begins to realize that there is more to these crimes than anyone realizes. With personal ties to story she is reporting, will Anna find out the killer’s identity before it is too late? Twenty years ago, Anna left Blackdown and never looked back.
