About this ebook

Book three in the hit series that's soon to be a major motion picture starring Amandla Stenberg and Mandy Moore--now with a stunning new look and an exclusive bonus short story that delves into the mind of Clancy Gray. Ruby can't look back. Fractured by an unbearable loss, she and the kids who survived the government's attack on Los Angeles travel north to regroup. Only Ruby can keep their highly dangerous prisoner in check. But with Clancy Gray, there's no guarantee you're fully in control, and everything comes with a price. When the Children's League disbands, Ruby rises up as a leader and forms an unlikely allegiance with Liam's brother, Cole, who has a volatile secret of his own. There are still thousands of other Psi kids suffering in government "rehabilitation camps" all over the country. Freeing them--revealing the government's unspeakable abuses in the process--is the mission Ruby has claimed since her own escape from Thurmond, the worst camp in the country. But not everyone is supportive of the plan Ruby and Cole craft to free the camps. As tensions rise, competing ideals threaten the mission to uncover the cause of IANN, the disease that killed most of America's children and left Ruby and others with powers the government will kill to keep contained. With the fate of a generation in their hands, there is no room for error. One wrong move could be the spark that sets the world on fire.

Everything turned out well in the end but I found Ruby one of the most agonizing characters to read about. I just found her very whiny and extremely to controlling through the series especially about Liam. Very slow in the beginning of the book like the others in the series but picked up in the last 150 pages or so. I would give this book and the whole series 3.5 stars. Enjoyable but hard to get into with being such a slow read and Ruby just not being a character's POV I liked reading.

I'm dying out of sheer perfection. This book will tear you to pieces and put you back together in a very odd shape. You will laugh, cry, scream and you might even want to run. But I promise you, every single page of this book is worth your time and then some.

Really entertaining. I'm happy I've committed myself to this series. Everything is really well executed. There are some twists that I wouldn't even have thought. **SPOILERS** just wish it didn't have to end that way for Cole. Wanted to see him more in action using his power.
