I anledning at litteraturfestivalen Kapittel i 2020 feirer 25 år har vi utfordret Vigdis Hjorth, Kristin Auestad Danielsen og Tiril Broch Aakre til å skrive hver sin novelle inspirert av Kielland-novellen «En god Samvittighed» fra 1880. Antologien viser hvilke samvittighetskvaler som kan ri oss 140 år etter Kiellands forelegg. Alexander L. Kielland (1849-1906), Stavangers store forfatter og en av ”de fire store” i norsk litterær gullalder. Vigdis Hjorth, Kristin Auestad Danielsen og Tiril Broch Aakre er alle betydelige norske samtidsforfattere.
