About this ebook

From New York Times bestselling author Alexa Riley, a friends-to-lovers romance that will bring you the happily-ever-after you’ve been waiting for

Jordan Chen is the man behind the screen. As part of the elite security team for Osbourne Corporation, he has an iron grip on protection, all without having to make close connections with people. Until he meets the beautiful Jay, and suddenly his quiet life doesn’t seem so perfect anymore. He needs more. He needs her.

A workaholic to her core, Jay Rose doesn’t have a lot of men in her life. Smiling in the face of her enemies gets her the results she wants at work, but doesn’t exactly project a warm, welcoming vibe. So she’s surprised when the enigmatic security expert strikes up a friendship with her—surprised but flattered, and maybe a little bit turned on.

A company as powerful as Osbourne Corporation has powerful enemies, and when Jay becomes a target, Jordan realizes there’s nothing he won’t do to bring her home safe.

Stuck in the friend zone is not where Jordan Chen wants to be when he looks at Jay Rose. Some may think she's cold and driven but he know the warm loving woman behind the facade. As head of security for Osborn Corporation Jordan has had plenty of time to watch and fall in love with Jay. So how does he get her to see him as more than a friend? When Jay becomes a target of trouble, she finds out exactly how Jordan is willing to do to protect her and just how much he cares. This is a nicely written story and these characters are fantastic. I think everyone will enjoy this story. I highly recommend it.

Super, super sweet, super geek, super buff, man finds love of his life with ever-efficient, lonely, also geeky, overchieving admin assistant of the company. And they are perfect for each other! And everything goes against them! Put they power through! And they both think they are in the friend zone, but they are wrong! And then the real story begins :) Jordan and Jay have been lunch buddies since they met. She is the feared and dauntless right hand for Miles Osbourne of the Osbourne Corp. Miles is a little distracted lately since marrying the love of his life, and he is off on his moneymoon. When she met Jordan, she was happy to have a friend at work. Being the bosses eyes and ears means most people avoid her. She finds Jordan unbelivably sexy, but he is her friend. She doesn't flirt well, or at least, he isn't picking up on it, so she is doing it wrong, right? Jordan was set speechless when he first met Jay. She decided they would be friends, so he went with it, but he wants it all from her. Working in the security division, and the resident computer guru, he taps into her life and loves her from afar. Then he takes his chance, and keeps at it, until he gets his woman. Add in dates where everything goes wrong, Jay's flaky hippy sister, Jordan's sweet, gruff, dad, and whole host of workplace gossips, and you have a story that is a lot of fun, a lot of sweet, and whole lot of sexy build up, and crazy sexy follow through Oh, and some actual crazy people threatening Jay, which she hides, and brings out the alpha in our sweet little computer geek to save his woman. Even that was perfection, as our gang comes together to get things done, and the relatives are needed to keep our couple sane. In other words, this delivered big time for a sweet read, a sexy read, a fun read, a mystery read, and an overall amazing read!

Alexa Riley is the go to writing duo when you’re looking for something short, sassy, angst free and with scorching heat. Claimed fits the bill perfectly. Longer than their quickies, this one has a bit of drama and mystery as well as suspense included. There is still plenty of insta-everything but this time there’s a friendship that developed before either of these characters showed their feelings. Jay is smart and independent. She works hard and doesn’t back down when confronted by a problem or someone out to harm her. Jordan is a computer whiz and he stalks her via the security feeds at their place of work. He doesn’t try to hide the fact and Jay kind of likes that he does so. Together this couple were so sweet and charming. Their chemistry was steaming and their possessiveness in regards to each other was equal. While the mystery might not have been all that mysterious, it added depth to what was a very enjoyable read. I read AR to get out of my head, refresh my reader’s palate and satisfy my need for a sweet h, an alpha H, lots of heat, an HEA, and babies. Mission accomplished. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Carina Press. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
