An interesting read, although it glosses past certain events. Overall, a concise history that presents a VERY broad overview of world events. A good starting point for historical scholars.

Overall, it was well worth the amount I paid for it. I learned quite a few things from it. It is very dry and it doesn't really dwell on the people involved too much. But the purpose of it is a general overview of world development and it does this well. Recommended.

Very comprehensive. However a history book without any map makes it difficult to understand and appreciate the contents in its entirety.
