The fact that I had most of the books in the book yea it's confusing like the Indian in the cupboard, diary or a young girl anne frank,roller girl etc is really sad because these are awesome books and I hated miss Spencer for banning the books and yea I almost completed this book and I am in love with it this is really awesome and I too wish I could meet and author like Amy Anne she has really supportive friends and I find myself kinda relating to her . I literally cried when she was suspended. So a really great book and I really recommend children to read it. 😄

This book was awesome showing that no matter how old, no matter how young. No matter your race, nor nationality. If work hard at something and just go for it your dreams can come true. This book does just that. Amy Anne a fourth grader at Shelborn Elementary and her favorite book goes missing! Mrs. Jones the school librarian tells her it was banned! Amy Anne goes through new friends and experiences,allies and traitors,fun and disappointment. All to prove that kids have rights to decide what they read. Alan Gratz has done a wonderful job developing his characters, putting in unexpected twists, making this the best book ever.

I'm a teacher and I felt a strong connection with Amy Anne in this book because of her passion for making sure all kids have access to read a book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was quick, funny and brought about some really strong perspectives. The growth of the characters throughout the story is great. I'm a fan of the message and think it's a great read for kids and educators!

ALAN GRATZ is the author of many critically-acclaimed books for children and teens, including Samurai Shortstop, an ALA Top Ten Books for Young Adults; Prisoner B-3087; The Brooklyn Nine; Refugee; and the League of Seven trilogy (The League of Seven, The Dragon Lantern, The Monster War). A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Alan is now a full-time writer living in western North Carolina with his wife and daughter.
