About this ebook

★★★★★ "Great start to a new series! Interesting characters and a unique storyline set in a world that begs to be explored or in this case survived. Definitely worth checking out!"

Centuries ago, the world fell. From the ashes rose a terrible new species—the Tangata. Now they wage war against the kingdoms of man. And humanity is losing.

Freshly graduated from his military academy, twenty-year-old Lukys marches south toward the frontier, where the Tangatan forces are gathering for a final assault. Desperate to halt the enemy advance, the allied armies plan to thrust unseasoned recruits into the heart of the battle. It will be a slaughter. But Lukys is determined to survive, and he seeks assistance from the only man who seems to care—Romayn, the last warrior off a broken kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Queen’s Archivist leads an expedition into the depths of the earth, seeking the secrets of the Gods. Their magic was lost to the ages, but artefacts remain, objects of power that could turn the tide of the war. But salvation might not be the only thing that waits beneath the surface. Something older slumbers in the darkness. And now it stirs…

Immerse yourself in this sweeping military fantasy novel, a masterful fusion of The Shannara Chronicles and the enchanting worlds of Brandon Sanderson. Written by acclaimed New York Times Bestselling Author Aaron Hodges, this complete epic fantasy series delves into a realm of swords, sorcery, and epic battles that will leave you captivated from start to finish.

I hadn't heard of this author before reading Warbringer but thoroughly enjoyed delving into the world created and the characters who lived, and died in it. The action moved along nicely and there were several surprise twists in the storyline. It will definitely mean following the tale's next installment.

The book had a slow start,I think the idea was a good one but the execution could've been better. The book started getting more interesting towards the end but it had unseen plot twist that made it unpredictable.
