About this ebook

The New York Times bestselling novel soon to be a major motion picture starring Nicole Kidman, for fans of The Woman in the Window and The Silent Patient.

"I gobbled it down in one sitting." – Anne Lamott, People

Jodi and Todd are at a bad place in their marriage. Much is at stake, including the affluent life they lead in their beautiful waterfront condo in Chicago, as she, the killer, and he, the victim, rush haplessly toward the main event. He is a committed cheater. She lives and breathes denial. He exists in dual worlds. She likes to settle scores. He decides to play for keeps. She has nothing left to lose. Told in alternating voices, The Silent Wife is about a marriage in the throes of dissolution, a couple headed for catastrophe, concessions that can’t be made, and promises that won’t be kept. Expertly plotted and reminiscent of Gone Girl and These Things Hidden, The Silent Wife ensnares the reader from page one and does not let go.

Soooo boring. Page after page of two horrible people whining about their problems. I kept waiting for a twist, a plotline, something, but nope, nothing. The big reveal near the beginning of the book? Yeah, something happens but it's almost inconsequential considering you have to get through 100 more pages of self-absorbed angst before the book ends. Ugh. I'll never get those hours of my life back.

This story was terrible!! The writing was all over the place, the wife was a hot mess and as the story continued I had to force myself to finish. At times I had to reread a page because I found it either unbelievable or I lost interest a few pages back and realized I was skimming through to get to the point. I don't recommend this book at all

Another untrustworthy narrator book. This one was had a good amount of detail and did wrap up nicely. I don't regret spending my time reading it, but it's not on my top 20 list of books to recommend.
