《文学论》是日本近代大文豪、国民作家夏目漱石的名著，是作者在东京大学授课时的讲义，也是世界上第一部从心理美学、读者接受角度写成的文学原理著作，既有文本特色，又具世界性的广泛影响。《文学论》可以说是一部英国文学评论集，从社会心理学、美学出发，夏目漱石认为文学的内容由观念、理智、印象等 “认识” 方面的要素(漱石用 F 来表示)与情绪的要素(漱 石用 f 来表示)两部分构成，并创造了 F+f 的文学公式，由此展开了他的文学观。后来的许多日本作家、学者对《文学论》给予了高度的评价。他们指出，像《文学论》这样自成体系的文学概论大部头著作，在当时的欧洲也是独一份的。
