This is not the audiobook you listened to on a casette as a kid. I believe that one was narrated by Lynn Redgrave. (5 stars so as to not dock it when I haven't listened to the whole thing).

Got as a gift as a girl. Loved to read it over and over. Can't find it now. Hope to get a digital one soon.
