First Marguerite Gavin is Perfect(narrator). The symbiotic relationship between maxine & the demons(living ink on her skin) is good. I like that the author setup ideas and relationships then challenges those characters ideas and relationship in book one. The pacing is good, the clues that a dropped and exploded as the story reveals key information while giving you different question the think over. I Love that Maxine starts out in an established romantic relationship & his ability is cool
