About this audiobook

The psychopath carefully selects the most indifferent and heartbreaking way imaginable to abandon you. They destroy you as a way to reassure themselves that their new target is better. But most importantly, they destroy you because they hate you. They despise your empathy and love, and to destroy you is to temporarily silence the nagging reminder of the emptiness that consumes their soul. Unbeknownst to both of you, this is the beginning of a great adventure... Psychopath Free operates under the assumption that you are not defined by your pain, but instead by the subsequent choices you make along the way. The goal is to make the process a bit more holistic, to provide all the tools you'll need to find validation, self-respect, peace, and love. Psychopath Free will help you out of the darkness so that you can begin making better choices that will forever alter the course of your life. So say farewell to love triangles, cryptic letters, self-doubt, and manufactured anxiety. You are no longer a pawn in the mind games of a psychopath. You are free.

"DIY brain surgery 101". This is a self help and self harm book that targets survivors of abusive relationships in order to achieve some sort of success. The authors discard the entire discourse of narcissism and self, facilitate externalization and victimization among readers, instead of offering them meaningful insights on discussed issues. If someone is feeling like they can perform a brain surgery just by reading a fast-food quality book — please stop. Consult with a trained specialist, become familiar with the basics of psychoanalytical discourse. If one is searching for a self-help book — consult with Karen Horney, John Bowlby, Heinz Kohut, Sándor Ferenczi and Daniel Shaw. Some books are available in audio format as well.

Doesn't differentiate any personality types. Just blends them all into one stating that psychopaths are everywhere like it's a pandemic. There's a few things here and there worth taking from the book. Had to grind it out to finish. Wasn't great..

I have been seeing a therapist for other issues and she personally knows the psychopath in my life. I talk about my abuser with her sometimes. I don't believe my therapist has ever really dealt much with Cluster B personalities. Since she knows her personally, she sometimes seems shocked by some of the things I say she's done. She tries, but I think I'm going to need to get someone that has experience with this. In the meantime, this book has shed so much light on things and helped me realize things that were in the background that I just hadn't recognized yet. I was really struggling with things. I never knew that you could literally get addicted to a person. I didn't realize that a form of brainwashing was taking place. So many things make so much sense to me now that I understand what she did to me. When it was happening I was confused and couldn't comprehend what was going on. I highly recommend this book. Uplifting and so many answers. Looking forward to reading the next book.
