Ratings and reviews

The story is AWESOME, the reader's voice is decent, BUT this audiobook has periods of high pitch tone so SHRILL you'll experience something like a sonic brain freeze if you are unable to immediately access the app and advance to where the reader starts up again. The La Jetée-like method of cerebral time travel is used as the platform for author Finney to craft a unique tale, rich with description, intrigue and humor, well WORTH the price of this audiobook now that you've been alerted to keep your thumb near the MUTE button.

This is one of my three favorite books of all time. I have listened to the audio CD at least three times and then finally purchased the book. Now mind you, I do not generally purchase books. Once I started listening, it's difficult to turn it off. I listened before work, after work. Totally hooked. I always feel bad when it has finished. I would recommend this book to everyone.

About the author

Jack Finney (1911–1995) was the author of the much-loved and critically acclaimed novel Time and Again, as well as its sequel, From Time to Time. Best known for his thrillers and science fiction, a number of his books—including Invasion of the Body Snatchers—have been made into movies.

Campbell Scott directed the film Off The Map, and received the best actor award from the National Board of Review for his performance in Roger Dodger. His other films include The Secret Lives of Dentists, The Dying Gaul, Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle and Big Night, which he also co-directed.
