Ratings and reviews

Overall I enjoyed this book. The author and narrators did a great job. While listening I can imagine the world being presented to us. I hadn't realized this was like a sequel/spin off? to another series, but I don't feel as if I missed out on crucial details by not having read the previous books. I marked a star off cause of (POSSIBLE SPOILERS) one issue I found too annoying. I get that there isn't much room for truth between the 2 main characters , but the fact that they lie to each other constantly, then get upset that they were lied to by each other makes no sense (other than to build up tension and cause drama that I can see). It got so annoying to the point I almost gave up the series, but the ending made me decide to give it another chance.
