I enjoyed the audiobook, pretty good for a free book! I'd say it falls along the lines of twilight although more action less romance. I give 4 stars because I find the voice the narrator used for Ven to be annoying. Ven is a young adult and the voice she used for him sounds like a straining old man.

I tried to listen to it, but it was so cringeworthy I stopped around 7 minutes. The writing is so hard to listen to, it was like listening to bad fanfiction. I had just finished another series by the same author so this was such a shock.

Rachel is a raven shifter and a low witch. She is constantly on the hunt for Vampires. One evening while Rae is hunting soulless she encounters Venn. This mystery guy we find out is a wolf shifter. A very protective wolf shifter. Together they go on the hunt for the soulless and it is a intense ride. The fighting scenes are great, and the mystery surrounding her sisters kidnapping leaves the readers wondering if Rae will find her sister. On this journey we see Venn encouraging Rae on her skills and to practice more and we see Rae who has always second guess herself slowly believe in herself. Looking forward to listening the next installment. I did listen to the audiobook narrated by, Candice Joice. I listened to her at a faster pace of 1.8 and I found her enjoyable. I felt like she portrayed all the characters and used different voice for all of them. Was able to enjoy her narrating the story.
