And then, one day, Sonia's father goes missing. Now Sonia wonders if she ever really knew him. About the author

Veera Hiranandani, author of the Newbery Honor-winning The Night Diary, earned her MFA in creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College. She is the author of The Whole Story of Half a Girl and the chapter book series, Phoebe G. Green. She now teaches creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College's Writing Institute.

Siiri Scott is the head of acting and directing at the University of Notre Dame. She received her MFA in acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University. An actor/director/educator, Siiri is an artistic associate with the Irish Theatre of Chicago and a Theatre Nohgaku company member.
