The person who did the mixing on the audiobook voiced by Rosamund Pike needs to be strung up by their toes and forced to listen to it; I find myself- I can't emphasize this enough - CONSTANTLY turning the volume up and down. Other than that it's great. Her performance is fine, though not quite the "groundbreaking and astonishing, award-winning performance" it was described as. Also, in this day and age and being a digital copy, the $45 price tag is completely and utterly absurd. This isn't like 20 years ago where I'm paying for a book on 16 CDS or 24 cassettes. I understand that the people who created this need to be paid, but come on...

I am giving this 2 stars because the book is so expensive. I have enjoyed the sample but 40 bucks is too much! What the heck! And the damn thing is on sale!

This is a very well written series however $45 for one ebook is simply outrageous

About the author

ROBERT JORDAN (1948-2007) is best known for his internationally bestselling epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time®, which has sold over 40 million copies in North America and is currently being adapted for the screen. A native of Charleston, Jordan graduated from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, with a degree in physics. He served two tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and received multiple decorations for his service.

Rosamund Pike is an international stage and screen actress, who is widely known for her work as Amy Dunne in David Fincher’s Gone Girl, for which she received an Academy Award nomination. She also received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Marie Colvin in A Private War and won an Emmy for the short form series State of the Union. She was most recently seen playing the iconic Moiraine Damodred in Amazon Studios’ adaptation of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series. In 2021, Rosamund won a Best Actress Golden Globe Award for her performance in the dark comedy I Care A Lot. Other notable roles have included Jane in Joe Wright’s Pride and Prejudice, Rosalee Quaid in Scott Cooper’s Hostiles and Marie Curie in Marjane’s Satrapi’s Radioactive.
