An instant #1 New York Times Bestseller and a USA Today and Indie Bestseller!

The Stormlight Archive saga continues in Rhythm of War, the eagerly awaited sequel to Brandon Sanderson's #1
New York Times bestselling Oathbringer, from an epic fantasy writer at the top of his game.

After forming a coalition of human resistance against the enemy invasion, Dalinar Kholin and his Knights Radiant have spent a year fighting a protracted, brutal war. Neither side has gained an advantage, and the threat of a betrayal by Dalinar’s crafty ally Taravangian looms over every strategic move.

Now, as new technological discoveries by Navani Kholin’s scholars begin to change the face of the war, the enemy prepares a bold and dangerous operation. The arms race that follows will challenge the very core of the Radiant ideals, and potentially reveal the secrets of the ancient tower that was once the heart of their strength.

At the same time that Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with his changing role within the Knights Radiant, his Windrunners face their own problem: As more and more deadly enemy Fused awaken to wage war, no more honorspren are willing to bond with humans to increase the number of Radiants. Adolin and Shallan must lead the coalition’s envoy to the honorspren stronghold of Lasting Integrity and either convince the spren to join the cause against the evil god Odium, or personally face the storm of failure.

Absolutely spectacular. I feel like the jar that holds the secrets of the Cosmere was finally cracked open ever so slightly, giving us a small glimpse into its contents. The story, like all of Sanderson's work, is amazing, and I feel like we are finally able to see the full-picture of the Cosmere coming together, and the implications of it. With Sanderson's work I'm often left with very visceral reactions, and this is no exception - I laughed out loud and I also sobbed. Sometimes my breathe caught in my throat and other times I full-on cheered. Honestly, I can't wait to listen to it all again.

Sanderson has released the entire first 19 chapters of the audiobook for free on Youtube, and they are amazing. The Stormlight Archive is truly the greatest fantasy series I've ever read. The audio book format is nice for digesting the large books, and the performance of the voices is excellent. If you haven't read Sanderson's work, I'd recommend starting with the Mistborn series, but by all means, build to where you can read this magnificent epic fantasy series.

Just wrapped up with the EBook, will move on to this next to find more detail. Love this story though! Character progression is largely extremely satisfactory and the ending is about as true to form as they come, maybe even better.
