Ratings and reviews

While the story is intriguing and hard to put down, the actual plot is poorly written and lacks logical and critical thinking by the two sisters. I enjoyed the character development on Kate's part but the love stories from both girls are fast-paced, lust-driven, and sends a bad message to young women about falling for strangers, and rushing into relationships, both emotionally and sexually. This book feels like Rice tried to pull deep and complex subjects like sex trafficking, slavery/ indentured servitude, capitalism, sexism, and sexual, emotional, and physical abuse and pull it all into a YA/teen romance/fantasy novel. At the end of book 1 I was hopeful that the next book would redeem itself, that the first book was simply a rough beginning, but by the end of the second book I was disappointed. I wanted the rest of the story, but I could not stand the stupid and ignorant decisions of these girls.

throne for sisters series is my favorite so far. YA fiction isnt always engaging gor me, but this story has interesting aspects.

Every time I listen to these books I do NOT want to turn it off again! They're so good and the voice is so nice and calm. I cant wait to get the next books!😍
