Unless you have an ear for such ghastly details as a tragic fire, a nefarious villain, itchy clothing, and cold porridge for breakfast, all narrated in chilly detail by the distinguished, and disturbed, Tim Curry with a team of talented readers, you would be better off listening to something else.

Ratings and reviews

I love the books and have always wanted to read them with my kids, so I got the audiobooks for an impromptu road trip. The sound effects are too loud, they drowned out Tim Curry's voice too often and I found that very distracting. I do enjoy that it's not just one voice reading for every character.

One of my absolute favorite series. Tim Curry does a great job narrating, and having a full cast really oulled it together. Some of the voice actors were a bit jaring, but I loved having a full cast and ambient sound. Fair warning before you buy, this is the only full cast audiobook in the series for sale on Google Play. I was highly dissapointed the second book was not full cast.

I love the series, the movie, & now the Netflix series. My favorite actor Tim Curry is the narrator for this so I can't wait to hear all about it on audiobook now. Thanks Google Play.

Lemony Snicket had an unusual education, which may or may not explain his ability to evade capture. He is the author of the 13 volumes in A Series of Unfortunate Events, several picture books including The Dark, and the books collectively titled All The Wrong Questions.

Tim Curry has portrayed many memorable characters, most notably the role of the scientist in the Broadway and film versions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Arthur in the Broadway production of SPAMalot.
