About this audiobook

The cast: an un-ordinary king, and an extraordinary princess, a couple of kooky giants, an overzealous magician, a loyal and helpful witch, and a host of evil and dangerous wizards.

The instruments: a broken-down magic carpet, a leaking magical sword, and a few buckets of soapy lemon water.

The problem: dragon-napping and magic-stealing.

And so the story begins, one fine day while King Mendanbar is taking a casual stroll through the Enchanted Forest. . . .

“A refreshing romp.”—Kirkus

“[A] story that will delight fantasy fans. ”—Booklist

I loved this book as a kid, and I still love it. But the voice of the character Talimain completely ruined it! It's like nails on a chalk board! Up until he enters the story it's pretty good, but I've had to shut it off and I won't be listening to the last two because I'm sure he's going to be in it. His voice is higher and louder, so if you turn the volume down you can't hear the other characters but you can still hear him. My teeth hurt from it!

Resting my eyes and relaxing into an intriguing twist on a classic trope- Cimorene is the Princess we deserved. A fun read but also worth a revisit. Geninuinely full of interesting male and female characters . Love it!!
