About this audiobook

Direct, blunt, and brutally honest, Tim S. Grover breaks down what it takes to be unstoppable: you keep going when everyone else is giving up, you thrive under pressure, and you never let your emotions make you weak. Tim details the essential traits shared by the most intense competitors and achievers in sports, business, and all walks of life. Relentless shows you how to trust your instincts and get in the Zone; how to control and adapt to any situation; how to find your opponent's weakness and attack. Grover gives you the same advice he gives his world-class clients-"don't think"-and shows you that anything is possible. Packed with previously untold stories and unparalleled insight into the psyches of the most successful and accomplished athletes of our time, Relentless shows you how even the best get better . . . and how you can too.

It's very obvious that the author is just an angry person who is attempting to be "edgy" in this book. His idea of winning is to do with the "dark side". This isn't star wars my dude. His advice is quite literally dangerous to your well being. He's the kind of author who uses descriptions like Beta and alpha. Please don't waste your time. There are many more books that would be much more helpful.

It's well written (and well read) and the message is consistent. But I mostly disagree with the author's self-centered, amoral view of success. I am more a fan of Stoicism (and it's virtues) and vulnerability (the Brene Brown philosophy). It also has too many false narratives and strawmen for my liking. And he throws heavy shade at LeBron. And yet, LeBron has way more "wins" off the court (and on it) than any athlete of his caliber. Maybe relentless to Grover means not having values?

If you wonder why you are different, why you train harder, why you are never satisfied? Tim will tell you. What you do with that information determines your power level. Rentless forces you to answer one question, how much are you worth to yourself? Learning to live with that answer, will change you. Learning to compete with that answer, will define you.
