About this audiobook

Creating "true narrative magic" (The Washington Post) at every revelatory turn, Stephen King surpasses all expectation in the stunning final volume of his seven-part epic masterwork. Entwining stories and worlds from a vast and complex canvas, here is the conclusion readers have long awaited—breathtakingly imaginative, boldly visionary, and wholly entertaining.

Roland Deschain and his ka-tet have journeyed together and apart, scattered far and wide across multilayered worlds of wheres and whens. The destinies of Roland, Susannah, Jake, Father Callahan, Oy, and Eddie are bound in the Dark Tower itself, which now pulls them ever closer to their own endings and beginnings...and into a maelstrom of emotion, violence, and discovery.

It's okay. Not Very good compared to the first 3 in the series. Too many contrived plotlines, like the parts where King puts himself into the story. All of the New York and Maine scenes completely remove the suspension of disbelief. WAY too often it forces you to remember that you're reading a book instead of being told a story. If that makes sense.

I was not a fan of this book and by extension the whole story; seven books basically one objective to get to the Dark Tower and then when it happens you are given a line the "journey is all that matters" .... sorry I would like to get answers as well. "Like what is the Dark Tower, who built it, and how does it run". The book is fantasy but to me it goes a bit too far when all the characters know the are fictional, and King is in the story.

Still my favorite series after all these years. I've read The Dark Tower series several times. And will several more times. The ending always pissed me off though.
